Let's face it. A lottery will generate for a state(s) revenue. whether it is in the 2 figure or 3 figure millions. A lottery is going to generate revenue. That is why I think we should have a lottery for natural disaters. It will generate revenue. Insirance companies find every reason they can not to honor hurricane claims. Arkansas gubernatorial candidate Bill Halter's claim that a state lottery would generate as much as $250 million for education far exceeds previous state estimates that his campaign said Monday were out of date.In announcing his candidacy last week, Halter proposed a state lottery to ease the financial burden of overhauling the state's education system.
