I would have imagained Arkansas getting a lottery earlier, but I guess it just hasn't been a big priority ober dere. But I'm sure, in fact I'm positive, that if given the choice Arkansas' voters would go for it. And I have a feeling it will be a good lottery too.

Wish ya luck Arkansas! It is hard to get a Southern state to say okay. Alabama was faced with this a few years ago---for education. Schools had to closed many programs due to lack of funding. The voters still said, N

The Arkansas Supreme Court's order to boost funding for public schools could bring proposals for a state lottery front and center again.

At least two candidates for statewide office are touting a lottery as the way to solve funding shortfalls, and a legislator and long-time supporter of a lottery said he may push for such an initiative during a special session.
