Like DD said in so many words "It's a money thang!"

I would be extremely surprised if they shut it down now. But NC has done embarrassing things for years.

Certain folk are tired of seeing millions and millions of dollars going to our neighboring state. NC should take note that calling a lottery "illegal" have stopped very few North Carolinians from buying tickets in SC and not just the powerball but all lottery games, scratch-off, daily games, pick 5 games and so on. If it is struck down then we all need to sue ticketmaster for taxing us.They never passed that tax law on three separate readings.

If it is struck down I guess it'll be the taxpayers who will be stuck with the bill. Someones got to pay all these contractors for the machines, the advertising, ect.

Here's why I think it will not be delayed......

A delay of the lottery's start would mean the state would lose the chance to collect millions of dollars daily in ticket revenues.
