what about a guy who brings his or her kid to work.the kid starts in the mailroom for a week then in the next week the kid is foreman of the mailroom .the following week this same kid is a midlevel management.by the end of the year the kid is a CEO.this can and has happened in non union workplaces.it will never happen in a union workplace.i have worked in non union shops and thats why i went into a union shop.

as a menber of local 3 ibew..new york city... unions are needed.without unions there wouldn't be a middle class. the rich would own the places that we work in and the poor would be working for a two dollars an hour as the rich just got richer.like it or not unions made middle class working people. people say that unions only protect the guy thats sleeping at work, you don,t think that a person from management fell asleep at ones desk.yes it has its pro's and con's but what about a boss who... Your messages are already dated by Lottery Post. The top of each message shows the date and time the message was posted.

Of course, you are free to include the date in each of your messages, I'm just not sure why you'd need to, that's all.

........I always date my messages so that I can keep up with what I say and when I say it, and on what topics, which is helpful, when someone on the Board response to me, and I am not able to reply as soon as I would like. I agree with Todd. I like to read about all the different kind of news stories relating to the lottery and if someone doesn't like the story posted, just move on. No need to comment, because like others have said, some people do care.

I could really boost my number of posts in the pick3/4 forums (I play neither) by posting about stuff I don't care about.

Considering some states are privatizing their games (which I am against) I could see why they will unionize. I don't think they care about cash prizes so much as job security and health care costs.

I've seen this kind of post before, where people say they don't care about a type of news story. Is it really necessary to say that, especially when there are many people who DO care about the lottery industry?

If they vote to join a union, they should try to get OR to change Lose for Life to include a cash option, or to retire it.

If they worked at Wal*Mart, they could forget about joining a union.

Ballots were mailed Monday to the homes of 307 Oregon State Lottery workers, to see if they want to unionize.

Workers can choose to empower Local 503 of Service Employees International Union to represent them for collective bargaining or to retain the status quo and have no union.

Lottery workers in the proposed bargaining unit have two weeks to vote. Their ballots must arrive at the state Employment Relations Board by 5 p.m. May 22.
