It looks like NC may be the battleground for a challenge to Scientific Games ownership of the Powerball multiplier.NC has decided not to pay Sci-Games for the right to use a multiplier for winners of non-jackpot Powerball winners.Fortunately,NC won't be held responsible for any losses that are incurred due to any lawsuits surrounding the challenge.G-tech has agreeded to pick up the tab for any cost of Sci-Games trademark infringement.Read more here...

he's definitely a good guy NCPicks.he could've went to the NFL last year but decided to come back to memphis for his senior season and passed up a huge contract and risked it for one more year in college.no egos and easy to get along with.i think he is in the top 10 college running backs of all time.i think he might be in the top 5 in all purpose yardage.

I looked at WMYT's website and under jobs,all information refers to Capitol Broadcasting of Raleigh.I surmise that Capitol owns WMYT and that they recently changed their name.They continue to carry most every program that was on The WB.It's where I watch SC nightly picks and the Powerball picks.

i'll have to get NFL sunday ticket from directv here soon.love the carolina panthers and tennessee titans.the panthers first round draft choice deangelo williams played here in memphis.we will miss him.took us to our first bowl game in thirty years.the panthers got a good running back.plus they got keyshawn from dallas.they'll be loaded on offense.

That's why I said I thought it would be a natural thing for them to carry the NC pick games on that station,at least for the Charlotte area market.WRAL may have to make other arrangements for different parts of the state.NC is a bit spread out in its various population centers compared to other neighboring states.

Capitol Broadcasting already airs the South Carolina Education Lottery drawing on WMYT in Charlotte and produced a similar lottery drawing show for the Hoosier Lottery when it owned a station in Indianapolis, WRAL general manager Jim Hefner said......

No surprises here. WRAL is 800-pound gorilla in the market, and the stronger you are ratings-wise, the better chance you have of getting special things like this. On top of that, WTVD is owned by ABC itself, and from what I've noticed, network O O's aren't too big into anything except news and shilling the network.

Here's the good news, from the mention of studio space I'm guessing ball machines are in order.

Shaheen said the lottery has generated $141 million in sales at more than 5,000 retailers since they began selling scratch-off tickets March 30. He said he hopes gross revenues will reach $200 million by the end of June

This will happen because now we will have more people playing the lottery from VA who currently has the MM game. Shaheen knows what he's doing.

They will be parsimonious about it and that's for sure. I don't think WMYT (formally The WB ) reaches the major counties in NC. They would have to use the TV station that reaches the counties that buy the most tickets and right now Charlotte is not that county. They will have to reach Winston Salem and Greensboro.

I think they probably will use CBS because they are more lead back and less conservative. I can't see NBC or ABC doing it at all. You would have thought Mecklenburg County w... [ More ]

I just wish they would hurry up with the numbers games. I don't want to keep driving down to South Carolina to play pick 3 and pick 4. (even if it's only 15 minutes away) Gas is too high!

Well, atleast we will have Powerball. Too bad someone already won it. It should have been me. Maybe next time.

It would make sense for Capitol Broadcasting to use WMYT for the NC games in the Charlotte market because they already show the Powerball drawings.They show the SC picks at 6:59 PM,and could show NC picks during the 11:00PM hour.

The Triangle's CBS affiliate has been chosen to produce and air the nightly number drawings for the North Carolina Education Lottery, with the first lottery broadcast coming later this month with a drawing for the multi-state Powerball game.

WRAL-TV in Raleigh won out over WTVD-TV in Durham for the right to show the drawings on its station and provide it to other television outlets statewide. WRAL was the choice of an evaluation committee and executive director Tom Shaheen.
