North Carolina has the second highest population of any MUSL member. If it eventually goes with Hot Lotto, it will be the largest member of that game.

North Carolina smoked all the states who were in the PowerBall. I was looking at how many winners there were in N.C. and we had over 54,000 winnining tickets. Next closest was PA. who was in the 30's thousand. I think someone in N.C. will win the next PowerBall grand prize with the support that N.C. is giving. Hopefully it's me

I walked to the corner store to get my ticket, 10 minutes each way. Whew, I'm out of shape... really kicked my butt! It was *hot* too and I'd have been even hotter if I couldn't get a ticket.

Computer glitches and printer problems hit 20% of vendors

North Carolinians played Powerball to the tune of more than $1 million during the first day of sales Tuesday, despite computer glitches and printer problems that plagued nearly 20 percent of the state's lottery retailers.

Many ticket buyers and sellers in the Charlotte area were upbeat, even though some stores could not sell tickets for the multi-state lottery game for several hours.
