..considering the good fortune CALI has had in winnings, ever since the residents won the hard fought right to play M M in their state, I am unabashedly not surprised by this development.

BTW....many congrats to whoever holds the 34 mils ticket..........

NY liquor stores are allowed to sell ONLY liquor (and lottery tickets.) There were a number of liquor stores I delivered Lottery New$ to; apparently there were never confisticated (sic).

Isn't La Quinta a motel/hotel chain? (Quinto is a pick-5 in WA state that uses playing cards.

A La Quinta liquor store sold the $34 million winning ticket for the Mega Millions lottery, the California Lottery announced Saturday.

Murray Morton, owner of La Quinta Liquor Delicatessen, believes the winner is a semi-regular customer.

I recognize the guy, but I don't know his name, Morton said by phone Saturday afternoon. I would need counseling if I won $34 million.
