Whoever wins the new jackpot of $89 Milllions going to have a chilling summer this year.

But I don't know why people have to wait a couple weeks to collect the prize. Besides, they always show up with their attorney to claim the jackpot. Why do they need attorney? Can't they just sign and get the check? And how much would attorney charge their client for this type of case?

I wish that I will win this jackpot. I hope that I can sleep well when I have won it. Does anybody know how... [ More ]

I think the credit card fee only applies to some credit cards, because I was not charged any extra fee on my credit card.

You'll only get charged a pre fund fee when you open an account with your credit card. If you open an account via your bank, you won't get charged.

Everyone, if CA SLP does roll one more time, it will set a new roll record for most number of times without having a jackpot winner. CA SLP hasn't won since April 12 when a $52 million jackpot was won. I went through 8 total challenges at this point from 48 to 82 million. I hope it rolls.

michael, betslips.com is about the only place I and many others here trust to bet online. careful, there though, you get charged an extra pre fund fee of $20 when you open the account. Many overlook that part, including myself when I started. best of luck buddy

Take 40 million dollars, buy every combination of numbers for $1 each. If you are the sole winner, reap a $40 million profit. If you split the prize you break even, if you split the prize 3 ways, you take a bath. Takes money to make money.

It just goes to show the introduction of an multi-state game doesn't neccessarily mean the end of the in-state game. Hopefully the same will hold true when Florida joins Powerball (it has to happen eventually). And when your compare the jackpot to the odds, it's a real good deal. The cash value is about $41 million, and the odds are 1 in about 41 million.

This is an interesting game....odds of winning are over 1 in 40,000,000.....and by the jackpot going up only $6,000,000 it shows about sales of $9,000,000....this game does have the opportunity to roll for quite sometime.

If I was in California I sure would be playing the game right now.
