I've noticed the new Keno game displays as well. In some ways I like them, they are easier to see farther away from the montiors. But yes the colors are kinda loud. My buddy and I use to play Keno several times a week and we gave it up for 2006. We still watch, just don't spend the money to play. I bet the next fiscal year will top 1.5 billion if Marylander don't stop giving their money away. This game is so fixed. We are all making somebody rich. And it ain't us, (your ordinary keno player).

I think I'll step back and re-examine my playing habits with the Maryland State Lottery. It gets quit boring when all you do is lose.

litebets... [ More ]

5% increase means more than $501 million for state

Maryland Lottery sales topped $1.5 billion for the first time in the fiscal year that ended in June, a jump of more than 5 percent from the year before, lottery director Buddy Roogow said yesterday.

More than $501 million in revenue is headed to the state's coffers, exceeding budget estimates by $10 million, Roogow said. Most is earmarked for the general fund, but more than $20 million will go toward the stadium fund.
