OR Lose for Life _does_not_ have a cash option. Neighboring Washington state has a $750,000 cash option in its Lucky for Life scratch.

Well I would say one thing about Oregon. We are a small state but we have alot of people that like to gamble. Our number one tourist attraction in Oregon is Spirit Mountain Casino which is run by the Grand Ronde Tribe. Man I love that place!-weshar75

I'd say their video games like video poker are a huge source of that income. They have very well run video, keno and electronic games. I just wish the prizes weren't subject to the onerious Oregon state income tax.

It's official: the Oregon Lottery surpassed $1 billion in sales this past year.

It's the first time since the Oregon Lottery started in April 1985 that sales for the year that ended June 30 surpassed the mark.

For the previous year, sales were a record $937 million.

Record sales also meant a record transfer of $483.6 million to the state economic-development fund. About one-third of that money is earmarked by voters for an education reserve fund, parks, watershed enhancements and salmon... [ More ]
