It seems to boil down to due to racketeering laws passed against gambling across state lines, companies doing business offshore are not registered in the US to conduct business because it&#x27;s illegal, therefore not collecting/paying taxes, either corporate or personal.<br /><br />Coupled with banking pushing for this law, makes sense and is logical although many don&#x27;t like it.</p>]]></description>

It turns out that Reed&#x27;s  opposition  to gambling was really a front for trying to keep the Indian casinos from facing competition.   There were no moral issues.
