Gift tax is something I will never understand. You win a million, pay your taxes, and then you are taxed heavily if you want to give someone a gift of more than $12,000. It just makes no sense to me at all. It's taxing the same income twice.

Pay the two Dollars! Governments today are not going to let anyone make a profit, unless they share the wealth. Taxes or upfront deal on the profits take your pick.
