Also, many people aren't prepared for a big win and then after the shock is over, they change quickly. Seriously, like Prob 988 wrote, I don't think I would change much as a person, but I definitely would live a better lifestyle..so that would be a big change for me. Still, I would live in a moderate home and drive a sensible car, etc.

I think the only sensible thing he is doing is lying to the press. However I don't buy it. Saying that things won't be changing is just a way to induce boredom, and decrease the spotlight on him hopefully. It does make for a boring debate as well, just what he wants.

I agree with you Litebets27.

I think this guy is being sensible. All I would want is the security of not having to worry about money.

Some people are blessed by winning the lottery, but some people are destroyed by winning the lottery.

I would no more make giant changes to my lifestyle than I would start skiing the double diamond most difficult slopes when I started skiing. It is best I think to take a slow conservative approach and to learn the ropes of being wealthy.

That all come down to human terms, be specific .

I pray every night for health, protection and happiness. Sometimes, I include the lottery subject in my pray when I buy lottery. And praying for winning lottery jackpot seemingly still stay within the context of health, protection, and happiness.

This thread brings to mind (to lighten things up) a scene in Bruce Almighty when he was looking at all the e-mail prayer requests to win the lottery - and let everyone who has asked to hit, hit.

The next morning people were saying, The lottery is bad! I finally hit and won $17! (implying they all did

I just signed on for a minute and it would take pages and pages for me to explain what I meant by God isn't random. Everyone thanks God when he has good luck and curses Him when he doesn't - sort of like a stockbroker. But if God gave wealth to one person and poverty to another, that would be cruel and discriminating. My life would change drastically for the better, but still within certain limits of course. One house and two cars is all I would ever need. But I would definitely live very well because it would be pretty stupid to sit on such a large jackpot and do nothing, especially considering the odds that you have to beat.

Knowing that you have that jackpot money there when you need it, I think, would give one a sence of security that is just not there when you live from check to check.

Sure, you could win the jackpot, go out the next day, buy a Mansion, hundreds of acres of land, a slew of expensive cars for yourself and everyone you know, end up on a TV show about how Lottery winners are cursed. Those are the kind of winners that I would label as idiots .

There are lots of things in the universe that occur randomly and who created the universe?: God..So God has some randomness in him, it wouldnt' surprise me if he had a lot of Randomness in him. And He knows what He is doing..We are talking about God here, Creator of everything...

These are the type of idiots that usually win. If you plan on changing very little, why even bother playing? Usually the types that say that are already wealthy enough to begin with. Also the fact that only certain states can remain anonymous is BS. If one can ALL should be able to. Anyone winning that kind of money and not changing anything is a waste of a jackpot. Give it to someone who can put the money to good use then, and make drastic positive
