I sure don't have a problem with kids buying lottery tickets, as long as their parents are the only ones that can cash them.

The sooner kids learn how easy it is to lose their allowances, or small-time dollars, the more they will learn how long the odds are for when they get older, maybe it will deter them from taking a second mortgage on their homes to gamble (?)

Thoughts

I'd like to know how many teens under eighteen are actually buying/trying to buy Lottery Tickets in the absense of Government Entrapment Teens. Law Enforcement may have uncovered a Crime where their is No Crime! It's also alot Safer busting Lottery Agents than Drug Dealers and Gangs.

In August and September, teenagers working for North Carolina state law enforcement officers walked into more than 300 places where North Carolina lottery tickets are sold.

Top bad they don't do that with establishments that sell teenagers alcohol, and hold Rave parties. I would rather for my teenager to buy a lottery ticket than become an alcoholic, druggie or a gang member, a criminal or come up pregnant or out there getting somebody pregnant. Hell I would rather for my teenager buy a lot... [ More ]

Try to buy a ticket. Carry your real ID. If asked about your age, don't lie.

At 91 stores more than 28 percent of the locations checked clerks sold them tickets, even though it is against the law to sell one to a person younger than 18.

Such violations were fou... [ More ]
