I kinda like the game except for the low starting jackpot. I don't consider anything under a $1,000 a win, it just helps lower the cost on my next bets. I am looking forward to try some bulk system play soon, but I have to save up longer for a $2.00 price tag. I wonder how much the first jackpot will be?

meaning its split between all claimed jackpot winning tickets. If its four winners, then four splits are done. They would each get 25% of the announced jackpot for that play. So if the jackpot is at 100,000 and its hit by those four tickets, well you do the math....

Prize money allocated to the jackpot category will be paid on a pari-mutuel basis. If more than one winning jackpot play is determined, each is entitled to a pro-rated payment share of the total jackpot prize category.

What does that mean exactly? Pro-rated payment? Does that mean that multiple winners will not get the FULL amount of the jackpot

Well got my first ticket tonight, picked my own numbers. Was a fun and different change of pace. Hope I win the first ever jackpot, then one later on in the millions.

The top mix match prize level is pari-mutuel, so the total prize pool available is equally divided among all winning tickets matching all five winning numbers in the same position in which they were drawn.

Although I am not very fond of that for such a low starting jackpot. So if 2 people match the first draw, that

True, but I also read quotes from the PA lottery such as The people SAID they wanted it, etc. So I was wondering who these alleged people were. Now only if people would start voting with their dollars by not playing powerball as much, and bring the matrix down to at least a somewhat reasonable one.

sirbrad...the vote you (and we all) have is via the dollar (or two in this case). If people don't play a given game, then it will be changed or pulled. Your vote is FOR the game if you play, AGAINST the game if you don't.

I hate $2 priced games, but it does keep many from buying hundreds of tickets for a smaller number field game. At least for me. Also I like the $2,000 prize for simply matching all 5 numbers, regardless of order. I liked LFL, but had very little success with it. I hope that changes with this game.

I doubt it is going anywhere anytime soon. Nonetheless, I am still waiting for the vote where I have a say in the games. I always hear about people not liking the game yet I still have never go... [ More ]

$2 per ticket with a $50K cash jackpot. Just like Delaware's Multi-Win Lotto* which sees limited play. $2 games seem to be the new hook for lottery games, which is simply getting too expensive. I see a quick death for this game. It seems like it's going to be a huge step down from Lucky for Life.

If you read carefully towards the end ( all-cash prize structure ), Pennsylvania is admitting, if not directly, players disliked Lucky for Life because of the lack of a cash option.

Mix Match, by default, is a better game. However I see player confusion, especially if there's media that gives the numbers in ascending order rather than in which they are drawn. I remember a radio station giving the Powerball numbers after Connecticut joined...but they gave only the five white numbers, leaving... [ More ]

The ONLY thing new or interesting about THIS game is you have to get the balls in position drawn to win some of the prizes, which makes for some fancy new algorithms, but it's really shmart of them to make you think that with only 19 balls you have great odds for the top prize.. but read the fine print up there.. the odds that would normally get you 200K on the Powerball might get you only 50K on this game, at twice the price! I'll try it a few times because it's new but I doubt it will b... [ More ]

I hate lotteries that offer back free tickets. Yeah you have great odds to win a free ticket , big deal. Lotteries want everything. They want big jackpots so people play more and then want to give free tickets so people just reinvest back into the game. It kills all the medium prizes. People play the lottery to win more than they have put in, not to get a free ticket. Free tickets are useless if it kills the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd prize level paybacks. This game is horrendous.

The Pennsylvania Lottery will introduce a new lotto game next week, Mix Match, offering better odds than any of the state's other numbers games, more ways to win, and a cash jackpot that begins at $50,000.

Mix Match tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 23, and the first drawing will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. Mix Match drawings will be conducted every Monday and Thursday evening with The Daily Number, Big 4 and Cash 5 drawings.
