I've often thought about a person being better off hitting a jackpot later on in life. As you get older your values are going to change. Perhaps if you win a jackpot in your younger years you would blow it on things that would become absolutely meaningless to you later on.

(Of course, the older you get without having hit one, the more you're going to find yourself thinking this way

*Ditto* Couldn't have said it better myself. Look around us everyday. There are so many many folks who could really use this money. We all want to win it when we're young enough to Rock n Roll all night. I'm 52 and guess what........I want it as bad as I did many many years ago. And my plans remain the same.....retire, move to the coast, etc.

Sometimes we all speak before we stop to think and I'm sure that's what happened. Come to think of it.....I probably said the same thing 30 years ago... [ More ]

75 years old? Lol, let me be young enough to enjoy it when I win it ! I just found out my hubby was holding some tickets from way back in March. I told him, "you know, you are the very type of person I bitch about on LP all the time. People purhase tickets and then don't check them until months down the road, only to find out they were the winner." Unfortunately, looking at that draw, we don't appear to have won anything yet.

Retired salesman Daniel Casey of Fort Pierce, Fla., is one of two winners to match the first five of six winning numbers worth $250,000 in the April 24 Mega Millions drawing, Georgia Lottery officials have announced.

Casey, 75, purchased his lucky ticket in Port Wentworth at the Pilot Travel Center on Ga. 21. Winning numbers for the April 24 Mega Millions drawing were: 8-10-35-36-43, and the Mega Ball was 14.
