I was curious as to why Michigan waits for a month have the drawing after tickets have sold out, thinking that they, of course are gaining money from the interest, among other things. Here is the reply I got from them.

Dear Player,

The Michigan lottery sold 250,000 Super Raffle tickets at $50 each,

generating $12.5 million in revenue. Prizes totaling $7.35 million

(58.8% of sales) will be awarded to players.

Michigan also announced another raffle starting a week after the draw for the $50 raffle...It starts on the 25th and is a $20 ticket.

Who needs Fantasy 5 anymore? They should have a $2 ticket and call it Double Fantasy ... Why buy the Fantasy Fives when you can save your money for better odds at higher prizes with raffles?

At least a Double Fantasy ticket would crank the Jackpots up higher.

With the fast raffle draw turnarounds here I am wondering when this rafflemania will slow do... [ More ]

Millionaire Raffle, the raffle-style game developed in 2005 by the Pennsylvania Lottery, will offer 7,777 cash prizes worth more than $6.4 million when the game is drawn at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 (7-7-07).
