Has got to be the best odds of winning $20 millions! 1 in 2 million! Lump sum too. WTG to the winner. Mega Millions its 1 in 175 milllion!

The game offered a top award of $20 million, 10 $1 million prizes, and 40 prizes of $250,000 each. All of the prizes will be paid in lump sums rather than in installment payments.

I had hoped Ky would do this with their raffle game seeing it is no where close to selling out. They haven't sold half of the tickets and the drawing was to be held Saturday but they have moved the draw back to who knows when.

I don't get any special joy seeing the MA lottery have a bust of a game, but they have been pushing people to lottery burnout for a quite a while and the birds have come to roost for them. My feeling is they should not have done the first game of this kind with such an expensive ticket. I'm from MA and did not buy a ticket for this. I would have bought a $5 ticket to try for $5 million. But $20 has me thinking I'd get more enjoyment buying a Megamillions ticket, and with my 19 remaining dollars... [ More ]

Today's drawing for the Massachusetts State Lottery's Star Spangled Sweepstakes is likely to be bittersweet, except for the game's winners.

Lottery officials will hand out $40 million in prize money to 51 ticket holders even though the game generated ticket sales of only $28 million to $30 million.
