i was in kentucky today and they have broken the 403,000 mark in sales of the raffle so far. i dont know if they will sellout tonight but they have sold more than i thought they would.

Indiana will be the next state to fall victim to the raffle blues. People are catching on that on a dollar per dollar basis these games are not that good. Indiana has only sold 33k in 15 days, at this rate only 100k tickets will be sold. I am sure this one will get pushed back too.

i think you are right todd because if they sold all 500,000 tickets then the odds of winning one of the $500,000 top prizes was 1 in 250,000 so if they only end up selling 400,000 tickets then the odds will change to 1 in 200,000...

Huh? The odds of winning are incredibly better because there are fewer tickets out there.

On the positive side, it can make you just as wealthy, no matter what day it's drawn on!

I'm sure there are some disappointed Kentucky players, but my opinion is that your lottery did right by you. All the prizes are being awarded, no matter what. There's something to be said for that. The word honesty comes to mind.

I know. I started to buy tickets for this game, but the whole magic of the game was going to be the draw date of 7-7-07. When they changed the date, they changed the meaning of the raffle. Although, I still like the name of the raffle and may just yet buy a ticket.

The Kentucky Lottery raffle game named after the date it was to be drawn on is now set to take place about a month later.
