I ve got a Gallup poll (done by them on their own and not a hire by any lottery or any church group) that says that the average lottery player is slightly more educated and has a slightly higher income than the average American mostly that the lottery is played by pretty much everyone (except that the very poor and the very rich play in lower numbers for entirely different reasons).

Since I got 3 responses to this comment (thank you) I want to mention that I was being facetious. (hope my use of the word is correct)

People are always saying that only the poor and desperate play the lottery, so this is just one example, among many, of why that statement isn't true. They also say it only takes one which is true, but I sometimes feel that people who can blow $50 in one night have a greater shot at winning a jackpot, just using a little common sense. Sensenbrenner is a foe of illegal aliens

U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, known for his strong opposition to illegal immigration, won the lottery for the third time last week, the Associated Press reported Friday.

The Republican already a millionaire hit it big in 1997 with a $250,000 jackpot in the District of Columbia lottery. Then, last spring, he won $1,000 prize in the Wisconsin lottery, and he won another $1,000 in that lottery last week, the AP said.
