It is sad that one would want to take the happiness right out from someone else like that.

I couldn't imagine doing that to anyone.

I am very happy for every winner that comes in our store.. Wish there were more...

It's so sad that you can't trust anyone anymore, especially when it involves $$$$. When merchants check my tickets, regardless if they say I won or not, I always get my tickets back and check them again. I use to keep them all in a shoe box to remind myself just how gullible I am

I see people all the time walking into stores with piles of tickets. They don't have a clue that it's just like asking a stranger is this $100 bill real? Nope, I'll just throw it away for you.

Most people aren't going to steal your money (I need to have faith in mankind!) but if not human, then there might be a computer error. Still, all lottery terminals should detail every scan and display win or no win and the dollar amount or jackpot I'd want to remain anonymous, but mayb... [ More ]

Four school board employees, allegedly cheated out of their winning lottery ticket by a retailer who claimed the prize money as his own, received a check for $5.7 million plus interest Wednesday from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

The check came as Ontario Provincial Police announced they had charged Hafiz Malik, a 60-year-old former convenience store owner with theft and fraud following an investigation into insider wins at the OLG.
