Still a lot of moral objections to gaming in that state. A good portion still disallows sales of liquor. I bet it takes another year...

I have a feeling that Arkansa will be getting their own lottery soon. It would be stupid of tptb to not push it through. They must know that they are losing a lot of money to those surrounding states that have the lottery.

I travel through Arkansas once in awhile would love to see them get a lottery.

Four times members of Lt. Gov. Bill Halter's staff have traveled to various corners of Arkansas to speak about the lottery proposal.

When college has never been more important to Arkansas, it's also never been more expensive. Halter says Arkansas needs more college graduates. And the way to fund that is to keep some of the dollars flying out of Arkansas to neighboring states lottery games.
