I sure wish if those Family Council do gooders get the lottery removed from the ballot , they would buy my gas to drive to Missouri to buy tickets and help support their lottery.

Its interesting that this always seems to be the case with southern states. I understand people might not like the idea but almost all of the states in the country have a lottery and it seems to do fine without great social unjust. If you don't want to support a lottery don't play! Its really that easy. And the cause...college scholorships..just think of the amount of people that would benefit from that. A group opposing a state-run lottery asked the Arkansas Supreme Court on Friday to throw the proposal off this fall's ballot.

The Arkansas Family Council argued in a petition filed with the state's highest court that the proposed constitutional amendment's title and name should be found inaccurate, incomplete and misleading because they don't define lotteries and doesn't warn voters of potential consequences of authorizing a state-run lottery.
