N.J. has a long history with the lottery. The first online game was in New Jersey. (Online meaning a ticket machine connected to a central computer to record the numbers.) With the lottery such an integrated part of society in N.J., tickets do indeed sell well.

I'd imagine that's because they have people coming from other states that buy tickets due to NJ's location and traffic through the state.

if this web info true then the New Jersey people deserved to win. NJ population is said to be around 8,682,661 but the number of mega million tickets sold for this draw in NJ were 10,001,369!

according to that website, only the state of NJ buys more tickets per capita. Oh well

I 've lived there but the rents cost so much you will need to hit the mega and the police stop a lot of cars they dont need a reason ?

The article quoted Space said there were some colleagues who had opted out of this ticket buy.

I just saw the news conference online with the winners. They were all in a conference room at work.... My work... I work with/for some of them. All the people in the pool I run are sending me messages about why we didn't win... Lightning can strike twice and I'm counting on it. Next time...

I was just hearing on the news earlier although one ticket won, 10 people will benefit from it. Some sort of lottery pool at a company in NJ. Damn, I would've settle for second prize (LOL). Congrats to the lucky winners. Perhaps one of them is a long lost cousin
