That IS the difference. You have to do it by person. You can't do it over the internet or by mail.

BUT they are looking to change that law. Barney Frank is pushing that law. He says that people should be able to make their own decisions on what they want to do with their tickets. I did send my claim for money twice through the mail. I claimed $30 from South Dakota and got the money back in the mail... And I bet in vegas that Matt Kenseth would win a race. Bet $10 @ 42:1 odds and won.

It is very very legal. I see all the time people from one state winning jackpots in neighbouring states. You have to make a trip to those states though.

I don't believe that it is legal to buy over state lines on the internet OR by mail....

Otherwise I'd love to get a Illinois subscription. It would save be a trip every 2 weeks to Illinois...

I think it would be nice to be able to get a ticket for another state's drawing. People drive out of state to get powerball tickets for large drawings, so that would be much easier.

I don't know my feelings about this. I guess it's ok since nowadays you can get everything over the internet, from a date to a college education.

I play the lotto when it gets up over 100m normally... there's a CircleK about a 3 minute walk from my place. I've had to stand in no more of a line to buy a ticket then I would to buy a candybar.

I'd be more interested in them letting us use CCs again instead of having to carry cash.

I have bought MANY tickets for high jackpots and have NOT had to stand in line.

They now have MANY retailers, so buying a ticket is NOT a problem...

You can buy a subscription through the mail....

This is unnecessary....

When Illinois lottery jackpots swell into the hundreds of millions, so do the lines for tickets. What if you could simply purchase lottery tickets online, at home or work?
