I agree with Lottomike,if you lived in Tennessee you would have something to complain about,he will make a profit for the state and give back to the people too,200k a year is small for such a large job.Goog luck to all the ones in Memphis too,I know where you will be once it starts.Wish I had excess to another close state myself.I will get my chance to play there,I will buy a whole roll sit back a have fun...That is fun when I go to Georgia,I stop in my favorite store where there is a deli,grab

I guess that comment pretty much proves his point about most people not understanding. For anyone who doesn't undertand, all businesss have to spend money in order to make money, and when a business is started money has to be spent before any money starts coming back in. In the case of a state lottery, it would have to be run incredibly poorly in order to not turn a profit. A well run lottery will generate more profit for every dollar spent on expenses. Ernie is hardly a lottery legend - he's a retired politician who cashed in on the chance to become Director when SC started their lottery. Why do you think he needs two $250,000-a year folks to come with him?

Because he needs people who are loyal to HIM.

That said, I wish him and the folks in Arkansas luck with their lottery.

Sweet, another person from Arkansas. I have a feeling more of us will showup the closer we get to the lottery date.

Also to stick to the topic. All the people who are complaining are the ones who did not vote for the lottery. They are just trying to find something to pick at.

As an Arkansan who's voted for the lottery in every election since my 18th birthday i say unto the negative Nancys Shut the hell up you! . If we're gonna have a good set up we need smart and capable people running it. This guy seems to know what he's doing so i say let him do it.

So far he's been jumping on every positive opportunity since he took the job. I was thrilled to see how quickly he moved on the Powerball invitation.

So, there's my 2 cents.

regardless they hired this man and now they need to let him get on with the job.i can just see them letting this guy go and then going after the wicked witch here in tennessee.if that does happen they'll regret it deeply.

My guess is the majority complaining didn't vote for the lottery to begin with and they won't be happy about any aspect of it.

Just a few days into his job running Arkansas' lottery, Ernie Passailaigue is already sounding like a man under siege.
