Here is an interesting follow up to this story.

This guy had to appear in court 3 days after collecting the money for a sex crime charge and tried to get a public defender because he didn't have the money to afford an attorney. It turns out the court knew he had won the money and made him supply his own attorney.

THAT'S GREAT I would be so shocked . Your lucky to be a winner of that much money . I buy my lottery tickets but never get any thing over one hundred dollars . If I could just do that it would be great . I wish you well . You can scan tickets to see if they won but you would have to scratch the front of the ticket to see the validation number. Don't buy scratched tickets...common sense. http://www.myarkansaslottery.com/games/100000-cash-bonanza- -game-no-004 copy and paste that link to see the 3 digit number in the box. It has to be scratched in order to cash a ticket. Always check yourself

He said..... the ticket said claim at the lottery and he didn't know what he won when he scratched it off..........then he thought it was over 500 then he thought it was 100,000.........isn't the ticket clearly marked???????????? who saw what arkansas? (arkan saw)...............?????????????(congratulations but something's fishey) you can scan those tickets without buying them correct.........and then buy them and scratch them if they are a winner.....correct

Hopefully Tennessee's scratchers ain't as hard to win as their draw games.

Maybe I'll go to Virginia instead so I can pick up a bottle a hooch on the way.

For Joe Pierce and his wife, Amanda, the last few days have been momentous.

On Wednesday, she gave birth to their second child, a daughter, Kinley Jo.

On Sunday, he paid $5 for an Arkansas lottery ticket and won $100,000, the biggest prize anybody has won so far in the two-week-old lottery. That's also the biggest prize available in the lottery's current games.
