Lotto Texas can survive, Texas is certainly big enough to have enough people playing an in-state jackpot game. But they will have to make big changes. First, and most obviously, they would need to move the drawings to Monday and Thursday.

I'm already thinking ahead about playing PB. I usually play $2 on each jackpot game now, so another $2 isn't going to break me. Looking forward to it coming....no more trips to OK.

On a side note, I had to laugh at Dawn Nettles. Her whole thing is to complain about the Tx Lottery Comm. To her they never do anything right.

The Texas Lottery Commission took a step Tuesday toward expanding state gambling options to include Powerball, with a chance for the first ticket to be sold here Jan. 31.

I think we would be remiss in at least not stepping out there and trying it. If we see it doesn't work, we can certainly pull back out, said Chairwoman Mary Ann Williamson before the commission unanimously voted to publish proposed game rules for public comment.

If the panel gives final approval to the rules early next y... [ More ]
