			<description><![CDATA[<p>Yes loved that show !<br /><br />SInce Australia is reigned by British monarchy I would think the same tax concept holds true. I do know that the average Brit is flat taxed around 30%...no matter the income...that is harsh with no year end reward or tax releif.Will research though , as it would be interesting to find out!<br /><br />Congrats to this family! The articledoesn&#x27;t go into their calculations and how they arrive at their figures.<br /><br />Not sure now, but there was a time when the U.S. was the only country that taxed gambling winnings.<br /><br />In a lot of other countries, whtever you win is yours, no tax.<br /><br />One of our Aussies hjere on LP once explained that they way Australia does it is the ticket is $1.03 AUS. Their are many different kinds of lottery games to appeal to different kinds of lottery players. Large Progressive jackpots appeal to certain groups of people who like to dream big.
