They knew what the compensation was when they took those jobs.

Now they want more for allegedly (in their own opinion) doing a good job?

And they get to decide if they did a good job and give themselves a bonus?

Would they have taken a pay cut if they hadn't done this alleged good job?

Somehow I don't think so.

This is reminiscent of Chicago Demothug (yes, I just coined that word) politics and it stinks to high heaven.

And that's exactly what they're counting on.

And if everybody in Arkansas has the same apathetic reaction, you will soon have the kind of lottery you really deserve.

Kind of like the one we have here in Tennessee.

The Director is paid $324,000 a year and the two Vice Presidents are paid $225,000 annually.

The Director decides to award himself and two of his cronies an extra 200 hours each of comp time for doing good work in getting the lottery started last year.

With their lavish salaries in these hard economic times weren't they already being paid to do good work?

It seems to me, that this state's lottery seems to be going through a hard time. all you hear from them is push and pull. Nothing about winning or education. Just they done this and they are going to get fired, the lottery is going to be closed, or the money is not right. Sound's like a typical government run item... The people's money being thrown around. and nobody is winning.....................

The director of the Arkansas Lottery survived an attempt this week to oust him from his job.

The Arkansas Lottery Commission voted down a motion to fire Ernie Passailaigue after the lottery director drew a strong rebuke for granting compensatory time off to employees who were exempt from receiving overtime pay.
