It's kind of just like the lottery itself going for the cash option as oppossed to an annuity, isn't it?

I think these states doing this are going to wind up regretting it. Why sell a cash cow

Any political opponents of Quinn or his party would be wise to follow the money trail on this one.

This just sounds too typical of the scams pulled in Illinois so many times before.

Quinn just might be the next two-term Illinois Governor - one term in office, one term in jail.

frankly I don't understand why people offer such stupidity

hello, all this does is make sure private people are getting money by state sanctioned monopoly

frankly, they should be locked in jail

because it makes no sense in the logic of it

because if they kept running a lottery that would keep all the profits.

Now they're giving the profits to a private individual, group of individuals or corporations
