I hope that the ticket helps a victim or victims of this tornado!

The Greensburg PA tornado was just a few miles north of us. Too close for comfort. I am hoping that the severe storms diminish.

Being that I live near the tornado area - and in fact, the tornado was heading for my town (I was heading for the closet)before it turned and went into the city of Raleigh -- I'm glad that somebody there won!

We still have insulation (pink yellow) in our neighborhood, not to mention some roofing, wallboard, carpet tacking and more - all blown in from another other town that got hit. I'm thankful it happened on a Saturday, otherwise a huge amount of people would have died.

Many of those who were lucky and survived lost every thing they owned. I hope if the winner survived and knows he/she is the winner and lost their ticket can still collect their winnings.

Todd it would really be nice to hear that person could actually found the ticket now after tornado/ really they need to be the type of person that like to keep them in your wallet/purse not the type to place them on table with your car key. congrat to them/true give a new, once they get over the two shock.they come if the tornada ravaged North Carolina the why it is in Cordova they might have a problem. I wish them the very best.

Someone purchased a Powerball ticket worth $1 million from a convenience store on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina, in a part of the city wracked by a tornado.

The drawing was Wednesday night, and the winner had not come forward late Thursday, said spokesman Van Denton of the N.C. Education Lottery. The ticket was purchased at the Express Mart-New Bern Station near Tarboro Street.
