There is definite luck.

I have won a semi-major prize playing the CA Lottery and Scratchers, for the past 6 weeks, I have managed to win probably over 5K. 934.00 in Daily Derby ( hit the trifecta ), I was one out of 6 to hit it and the ONLY winner in SD county. 500$ scratcher 3 weeks in a row, 4 out of 5 numbers in Fantasy 5 twice...and at least 3 100$ scratchers twice in a day. I say luck is on my side...I used to play Blackjack and I use to deal it at the Taj Mahal in AC back in 1993.

To everyone who' argueing about luck vs. skill, it's obvious that something like blackjack can take a bit of both - and a game like blackjack isn't comparable to a lottery game. In BJ you place your bet, get your first two cards, and when it's your turn, you decide what to do. Other people decide what they're going to do. Even though you don't know what card is next, there's a skill involved in understanding the math and probabilities. When you should stay instead of hit, when you should try to... [ More ]
