the sc guy made some classic mistakes but it didn't cost him...never go back to the store and have some clerk verify your ticket...if he doesn't steal it himself he will blab all over town who did hit it...it's really not that much money in this case 134,000 after taxes, so i hope he doesn't owe that much on his house. paying it completely off may be a mistake since he can't resell it. wonder how much left on mortgage? should save some cash for a rainy day.

Dont these scratch off games usually have the number worded out right below it ...like how one is seen in small print under the number 1 and svn is seen under 7 ? I know they have them on the Hoosier Lotto scratchoffs and that's usually how certain numbers are confirmed.

Good For the winner! Glad he didn't throw it away always make sure you check your tickets YOUR SELF!! Also glad to hear that the clerk at the store was honest.....I know that in SC they scan your ticket and it just says Your A Winner . The clerk could have said you won 20 bucks or something and taken his jackpot.

I wonder this all the time. We hear stories about people saying I thought I had originally won $1,000, but was in shcoh to find out it was $100,000 ...How in the he11 do you not know that you won that amount?

Can't really use the old too old to see excuse, because if thats the case, they shouldnt be playing.

A Rock Hill, South Carolina, man was about to throw away a lottery ticket when he noticed he missed a spot. When he scratched off the spot he uncovered a 7 to win $200,000.

Or was it a 1? He couldn't tell.

He held the ticket up to the bathroom light to see. It looked like a 7. He went outside and in the sunlight it still looked like a 7. He drove to Bob's Food Mart in Rock Hill, where he purchased the Stacks of Cash ticket, for their opinion.

I see hes bank will soon love Him. o look, someone who payed off hes house early, how rare.

and people that make a habit to threw losers out are idiots to boot if they intend to pay tax

save all losers that Tax year in 1 place.

Congrats to him.

I never undertstand why big winners go back to the store to show the clerk. There are always those clerks who will wait for some kind of tip for selling the winner. I always prefer to stay out of the spotlight. This guy will now be known around town for being the lottery winner since he is quik to show his face. At least he withheld his name from the press release.
