I guess there's a market for these kinds of promotions for sports fans but personally I'd rather have the money and if I want to go to all the road games and stay in nice hotels and get chauffered around I can.

They've had promotions for the Titans in Tennessee and some of the prizes were sports paraphernalia from the team and I just have no interest in buying a ticket for a chance on some junk with the team name on it.

I hope they do well on the Packer promotion but I'd never buy anything... [ More ]

i remember a Bo Bo Brazil/ Haystacks Calhoun match that went to Brazil in a controversial finish due to steel chain disqualification and then the Italian strongman Bruno Sammartino defeating Brazil for the title about 3 weeks later.

I met Ray Nitzke at a harware convention in Chicago in 1984, the company I worked for made drill indexes, so we had a booth, I went wondering around and He was signing autographs, I was just watching and finally he says, Hey little girl you want my autograph I said yes if I can sit in your chair for awhile, LOL, I still have it in a picture frame with his picture, I didn't even know who he was .

Now I do, glad I got his autograph.

tiggs and his buddy was in Detroit to see Killer wrestle and we was on the street corner when Killer was crossing the street and some car came real close and fast at Killer and he shook his fist and cussed them out real loud..Needles to say the car did not stop..Memories!! This was about 1960?......The Bruiser wrestled a lot on Detoit TV in the early 50's with Sam Menacer at ring side..Bruiser was a great intervew with his cigar..Classic..

yes, dick the bruiser was feared and renowned in those days. my recollection was that buddy rogers was the popular champ who no one wanted to face in those title matches. they usually carded a mid-level guy in those which they had about every two weeks. dick the bruiser who i remember but can't remember who he went against then. seems like he was involved in tag team matches. killer kowalski was the local who surpassed buddy rogers. haystacks calhoun who was 600 lbs usually faced two guys in a t... lottery and green bay packers will clean up on this. bad odds for bettor. wouldn't advise purchasing. would require maximum effort and committment to attend all the road games. better off watching on tv than winning this prize. would rather see a haystacks calhoun vs. gorilla monsoon match over green bay packers game too.

It'd have to be based on wrasslin' for my area though.

Like all expense paid bus fare and admission to all of Gorilla Monsoon's matches.

Now that I think about it, they could probably do it all over the country.

Fans buying tickets in this year's Green Bay Packers Wisconsin Lottery game will take home a raffle entry rather than a scratch-off ticket.

Team and lottery officials Monday announced details of what they called the first-ever such game offered by a state lottery and NFL team.

For $2 a ticket starting Saturday at lottery outlets statewide, fans can buy a chance at four tickets to all Packers road games next season airfare and accommodations included.
