Everyone is happy as long as the city gets a piece of the action.. I enjoy gambling when I don't have to pay taxes on the money.. That is why I enjoy pick 3 so much.. What fun is it if you have to pay taxes to play...

They wouldn't need pop up thermometers...being broke is not a sometime thing with them. They are always broke!

How about if the tax worked like gambling? Where they collect tax when you win enough to show a profit - but when you lose, they pay you the tax at the same rate as they collect from winners? (Go ahead and call it progressive, it's certainly fair to the player though)!

I'm fully in favor of allowing internet gambling tax-free, just the way it has always been

This is the same DC govt. that jails people with expired tags. Thieves. They are already counting their chickens. The DC residents.....................I wonder if they have those little pop up thermometers? Do they pop up when their wallets are emptied

This much is clear: D.C. residents, or at least the handful of Ward 5 residents who came out to the Lamond-Riggs Library last night, don't have much of a problem with Internet gambling.

At the first of eight community meetings set to discuss the city's controversial new iGaming program, few moral or philosophical objections were lodged against the idea that city residents should be able to gamble online legally, with the city getting a cut of the action.
