@Simba774 - For hand picked numbers, it should not matter what day you play. I don't think it matters for quick picks either, some player recently used year old numbers to win $250K in the Mega Millions. When I play QP's my resulting sets of numbers are usually statictically worse off than my regular sets, no matter what day of the week I play. Just might be my luck of the draw though. :P

I know the odds are already terrible, but are they worse if you buy a ticket a day or so before the drawing? I don't do it, but my mother always does it. I tell her to wait until that day, but she says she doesn't want to forget, so she buys them while she is out.
