I think I'd prefer something a little more special...

well if that's the going price, then I'd imagine at 15k you'd be able to buy the place plus get a few of the members plus Todd to perform the stage version of 'The Sound of Music' or 'Sister Act'. I've been lurking around here long enough to know I'd pay to see rdgrnr either of the lead roles... just because I could.

I kind of like the point of buying something just because you can, this is the beauty of mega fortune. But with 101K, seriously?

After reading this, now I'm thinking of buying the grocery store that sold me the ticket, when I win 101M or more. I would totally do it, just beacuse I can.

Interesting thoughts happygirl. I think this long-time-coming-small jackpot winner has merely, 'post-fed and state income taxes' broken even -- assuming his [combined with his wife's] daily gambling habit has been apx. $10/day ($3,650 per year) these past 19 years or so.

Cletus$2 I totally agree with you.. Purchasing items that you just don't need is just a waste of time and I can see if you he is working with millions but this is not the case at all. I am happy for him but statically most people who win a hugh amounts usually go broke within a few months, mainly because they don't know how to manage their money or just the idea of having money period. As for how much he spends on tickets I would bet a few hundreds, which means he is breaking even on his wins.... [ More ]

Donald Donnie Cole III thought he was lucky when he survived a brain aneurysm in 1999. But little did he know that his good fortune would continue.

Cole, 52, of Brookeville, Maryland, is convinced he is the luckiest man alive, after recently winning $101,000 playing the Maryland State Lottery.

Cole, who said he buys lottery tickets almost every day from the Shell gas station in Olney, won $50,000 on a $20 Big Money Mega Play scratch-off ticket on June 26.
