Is that all you have to do to win? Stuff the ticket some where and forget about it for 6 months, and accidently find it and its a big winner

Well, that is sort of quasi the line from the Georgia Lottery, but there is nothing on their web site saying the do or don't let you do anon, however there have been winners in the past that have claimed anonymously with LLCs and trusts. It seems that it is good to get an attorney to deal with them on this point. I think as long as you don't ask, then they sure aren't going to tell you about it. Clayton County is a baaaaaaaaaaaad place. Somebody i'll be done kilt 'im over dat money if'n he stay 'round dare. He best be makin' hisself scarce. After all they just re-elected by a landslide the incombient sherriff, who is up on 38 separate felony charges. If it is yours, it's really yours and it's meant only for you. I love to say this to Mr. Ramon Rodriques. Lucky for him, the ticket was not destroyed and was kept safe. When he found the ticket, I knew, that he felt something on himself, (an instinct) that something is out there...and that happened, Congratulations to the family of Mr. Rodriquez.

In these days of the internets, one has an opportunity to check out of state tickets. Still sad though to hear of these unclaimed winnings. ALL tickets are worth checking .

BTW, I'm working to win the Pick.

Makes me wonder of some large tickets going unclaimed. Perhaps a tourist passing through who buys a ticket and either promptly forgets about it or loses it, forever not knowing what was theirs for the asking.

Something similar happened to me recently.

In the course of searching for my misplaced Powerball ticket, I accidentally found my misplaced truck from the night before.

Not a winning ticket, but I felt like a big winner after turning up my truck.

A Clayton County, Georgia, man who won $1 million in August didn't realize he was rich until he found a forgotten Powerball ticket in his truck.

Ramon Rodriguez, of Rex, found the forgotten ticket tucked into the console of his truck and turned it in Wednesday.

He matched five of six numbers from the Aug. 8 Powerball drawing, winning a $1 million prize.

Rodriguez, 54, said It's been in my truck for two months.
