No argument here. People you can unerstand would like to see more wins in their respective states. This is not something I complain about as Florida joined the Powerball in 2009 and have won 3 Jackpots to date. We are one of the major contributors but comparatively speaking that's not a bad performance at all. That doesn't include the number of 2nd tier prizes won in this new matrix.

I live in ny, and I have never won $10k playing the lottery. I rarely see anybody winning a jackpot in New York City. Long Island and Staten Island win the most jackpots. I feel that they need to win a lottery jackpot more than ever after being hit by hurricane sandy.

You can't do that in New York. They require for you to appear and your name to be public. I have seen New York lottery players claiming their jackpots through trusts and LLC, and they appeared on the press conference.The lottery also published their names.

My brother lives up there and he hates that part as well. In Florida they publish your name and city. Press conferences are not required but they will beg you to do one. They usually back off after you point to the riffle in the pick-up truck.

That's part of my new strategy. Not satisfied with the number groups the lottery give you, make up your own, after all the drawing will only be using groups of 5 and 1.

I won't be able to reduce my groups to six, but I think I can get smaller with some rule changes. For example, if I have only used numbers in that group that had hit in the last sixteen drawings I would have done better.
