I don't care if people think there should be some mechanism that gaurantees multiple winners. What I don't iunderstand is the implicit acknowledgement that they're too stupid to do a better job of sharing the money than leaving it up to random chance. If I win that much money it will be shared with plenty of people, but they'll be people I choose instead of a bunch of random strangers.

I think most people know that when you're a big lottery winner, people come out of the woodwork asking for money. I'll take that problem though over what my life is now. As for my ex-wife, that's what she is, an ex. We were divorced in 2009 and unless I'm missing something, she's no more entitled to me giving her money (lawyer or not) than anyone else is.

Pet peeve: people who think they or someone/something needs to set limits on how much money others should have. I do find it ironic that those in govt usually propose that sort of thing after they have made their millions by virtue of their govt job (Congress) allowing insider trading. They then brainwash the masses with the greed of envy saying key phrases like 'fair share', 'rich white dudes', 'evil rich', and 'greedy corporations'.

I could downgrade my standard of living by moving from a safe, secure environment with a tiny backyard for my little doggie to a less secure, less desirable location in an apartment with only a balcony for my little doggie. I worked in DC for years before actually seeing rats as big as cats. I thought it was a story. I used to work in a building with nearby construction and rats of all sizes invaded our building. One day when I was walking down the hall, I saw two huge ones that were the size of 8-10 lb cats that just stared me down. The big ones are very aggressive and can collapse their body to fit under a one inch door space. I swear I can smell them and knew when one was around.

My grandmother owned a building in NYC and I remember when I was small she tore it down to build another building and when it came down there were these massive rats crawling all over the rubble. NYC rats are in a whole nother ballgame compared to anywhere else. One of the major deterrents to me ever wanting to live there. That was back in the days when the trains were covered in gafitti. I recall once seeing a CBS 60 minutes program or related program, several years ago, on rats in New York City, and these fellas are not your typical tiny bitty mice, but are real large monsters that can in-fact pose a challenge to the most daring un-iniated cats.
