I don't think these ppl. know whats in the constitution, or the bill of rights.

Also they don't get it, that the constitution says what gov't should do,

and bill of rights says what gov't CAN NOT DO, sorry for yellin, but sometimes you have to raise your voice.

They're not supposed to help anybody live a good life.

I like the idea of taking the education name out. I mean, it's a racket and we all know it. It makes me laugh!

BUT... they'd have to get a real website name now, since their's has education in it.

Btw - It had more to do with the fact there were so many anti-lottery politicians in NC and this made them happy enough to vote for it, thank God! I was tired of driving to VA to get tix

Someone probably told the speaker to visit lottery post to view the responses since the site is visited by more people than the entire population of his State.

Stam said the bill will still seek to remove the word education from the North Carolina Education Lottery because proceeds account for a small percentage of state education funding. He also wants the lottery to reveal more fully the long odds of a winning a big prize.

Lol, I think most people get that 1:175,000,000+ odds of winning a JP are way LONG.

You would have better odds of getting mauled by a polar bear and a regular bear both in the same day.

A key North Carolina House leader says a bill he's drawing up about the North Carolina state lottery won't include a provision prohibiting ticket sales to people receiving public assistance or who are in bankruptcy.

Speaker Pro Tempore Paul Stam of Apex said Wednesday the provision was the least important part of his proposal. He said got questions from all sides on the lottery issue about the provision. Some critics questioned singling out the poor or how retailers would enforce the law.... [ More ]
