I hope this privitization is good news for them. I also agree that the employees should have contracts with regards to layoffs.

We can re-energize the lottery brand

This is something all the states need to work on. Machines are always empty and you never see lotto commercials. CT started a new game that no one knew of. Told a few in line about it and they all bought tickets.

I hope their right about no layoffs, but i don't believe it.

Why are the Democrats are so worried about this? I think it would be better to listen than to speak over.

Are they afraid that some of the entities won't be able to line their pockets after the privitation. This Govenor has done more budget balancing than the last two Democrats combined. Maybe we could serve them a little cheese with their Whine....

Plan may actually double the size of sales staff

The New Jersey state treasurer today defended the Christie administration's plan to privatize parts of the New Jersey Lottery and said he does not anticipate it leading to layoffs.

Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff appeared in front of the state Assembly Budget Committee in Trenton to publicly discuss the plan which has drawn staunch opposition from New Jersey's Democratic state lawmakers and U.S. congressmen for the first time.
