I'm curious why you claimed BEFORE taking an emergency leave to spend two weeks to hire then brainstorm in a group with your wife, chosen tax attorney, and financial adviser (i.e., what name/entity to write on the back of the lottery ticket, etc.

Well, it is about time that there was a decent size winning in Colorado again (yes, I live in Colorado). I hope it does not take another 15 years for another grand prize to be won here. But I am happy that they are consulting a lawyer on what to do with the money.

And yes, I can understand that they suddenly have a bunch of friends coming out of the woodwork. Hope they don't mess things up.

With so many members saying they can't get excited about a lottery jackpot under $200M, I'm always surprised when I hear of a state where the largest lottery jackpot ever won is less than $100M. When it's in your hands, a million dollar jackpot is exciting.

The winner of the largest lottery jackpot in Colorado history claimed his prize in Grand Junction on Wednesday afternoon.

Claude Al G., who didn't want to give his last name, said he and his wife, Jackie, will do some traveling. Beyond that, he said he has no plans about what he wants to buy with the largest jackpot in Colorado history.
