You should have seen the angry posts on the FL Lottery FB page!! Oh man you would have thought she killed a baby. I am an Alabama woman that plays Fantasy Five every night and just won $555. I posted that but they didn't seem to care. It's only when you take away their millions that these Florida folks get in a huff. We all have the same chance to win, it was her time and I'm happy for her.

Though you meant to use the words state Income Taxes instead of federal, I knew what you meant. You were conveying that this winner will pay max Federal and max state of Alabama Income taxes; both due by end of this year. [Unless, possibly, the Lottery Headquarters takes too much time to cross-reference/analyze her 'back-owed judgements and various fed, state, and municipal levels government taxes databases' ... and doesn't date the payment check/electroni... The only taxes she will be paying is the federal taxes to Alabama. Which people who have won would like to see chance. We believe that the state that you win in such get all the taxes. Why such Alabama get any part of the taxes, they don't approve of gambling here it illegal.

A woman from Alabama was the holder of a winning lottery ticket from last week's $48 million jackpot drawing of the Florida Lotto game.

Carolyn Bell, 64, of Montgomery, Alabama, claimed what turned out to be the largest Florida Lotto jackpot of 2014, opting to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $32,609,501.60.

The numbers drawn for the November 19, 2014, Lotto drawing were 13, 16, 17, 26, 39, and 41, with Xtra number 3.
