The one issue I have is Az lottery has a lot of answering for it's deal with Powerball. They run Az lottery drawings and since this agreement Az has more second place winners and every so often a large winner is here. Just saying....

It was very nice of them to let the winner claim anonymously even though the law hadn't come into effect yet.

'Earlier this year, state lawmakers overwhelmingly approved a bill that prevents lottery winners' identities from being released for 90 days after a prize claim. However the new law doesn't take effect until July 3.

The Arizona Lottery in this case appears to have granted the Powerball winner the rights allowed under the new legislation, even though it is not yet officially enacted.'

Congratulations to this anonymous Power Ball winner! Kudos to the Arizona Lottery for following the spirit of the new law.

Sure, I would like to know more but I do not have that right in Arizona. Will this affect sales ? Up or down ?

Arizona Lottery officials say the winner of the $188.9 million Powerball jackpot has come forward to claim the prize from the June 3 drawing.

The Powerball prize money was claimed well within the 180-day time period that is given to the winner to claim the money.

According to an AP report, the winner asked not to be identified, and lottery officials didn't release any details on the person's gender, age or hometown Tuesday.
