Last time I was in that red state we went to two Casinos. One was very nice visible from I-65. the other was no more than shacks put together. My point is there were plenty of gamblers there. I used to like Alabama, but took a good look @ what that state represents to me as a Yankee and a strong disdain came over me. So they will never get a lottery, another reason not to visit there as I always play in states we visit.

I can tolerate Nevada with their casinos strongarming politicians against... [ More ]

why do they have 31 senators in that pathetic state. all feeding off the public and doing basically nothing but waiting for their pension. people should rebel against these hacks and start dozens of illegal lotteries and numbers rackets in every town. the make believe churches are probably behind this since if will affect their handle every week. aren't people tired of being pushed around by crooked politicians. there should be rallies and protests organized to oust these worthless hacks.

The Alabama Senate Thursday voted against a procedure that would have allowed a vote on a proposed lottery bill sponsored by State Sen. Jim McClendon.

Procedurally they killed the bill, at least for this session, McClendon said.

Senators voted 20 to 11 to reject a cloture motion to stop the debate on the lottery. McClendon said that if the motion was approved it would have meant a vote could be taken on the lottery and would likely have had the votes.

McClendon said that on Friday he w... [ More ]
