I've noticed over the years they've changed the way they do the money w/Lotto, when the Lottery 1st started and for many yrs after they rang it up as Lotto and put the money in the stores register, over the past yrs they are finally using the Lotto Register Drawer for Lotto money only, they didn't always do that.

So The THIEVES were taking money from the Stores Regular Drawer, using that cash for the Lottery Drawer, not ringing all sales up to try too hide it or who knows what, I've seen It,... [ More ]

SORRY I tried to understand what you were trying to write, think I got the gist of it? In NY I'm sure their paying the vendors out of the register so they don't have to go open the safe or where ever they keep their money for SAFETY reasons, so when they know how much they owe for Lotto each day they go get it an put it aside.

What gets me about the 1 person that stole $$ to buy Lotto is she had worked at the store for 19 yrs that's along time and then screw it up so bad!

I am not sure what the laws are down south however I am not sure Rite aid would pursue in court. A couple of people told me it's the companies image and branding but that is something else to deal with.

For example if someone did this to wawa, wawa won't prosecute to that they would contact the lottery commission.

Second they will be surely have their names in the 1-800 gamlbing hotline. Once a persons name is in there the person can't claim or do anything.

Okay first this article is definitely tracing so it's not worth over anyones job. I wonder what these women were thinking of and now it's on their criminal records for good. Shame on them. That isn't good at all.

Why on earth would soneone take store money when it doesn't belong to them in the first place?

When Police Chief Brennan Baird examined a video obtained off a hidden surveillance camera in the Rite Aid store of Danielsville, Georgia, the chief reported he was astounded at what he observed.
