Neither the wild ball or this fast play has rendered a winner for my funds. I give things a try...And end up realizing a fool and his money..Holds true. I think I'll invest in better returns.

I think not having to scratch off on the scratch offs, takes all the suspense out of seeing if you won or not. Have we become so lazy as a society that we can't even take the time or effort to scratch off a lottery ticket? Has instant gratification become that important? If you don't want to take the time to scratch off the ticket, then don't buy one.

I'm just waiting for when someone scans a ticket and gets a Not A Winner message, then scratches it anyway and realizes they actually DID win s... [ More ]

I had always wondered why the lotteries didn't make a simple ticket with Sorry, not a winner or Congratulations, you're a winner! under the scratch area.

No need to match or add anything to know if you won or not.

I can only imagine how many winning tickets (before the bar code scanners) had been tossed in the trash because people didn't realize they actually had a winning ticket.

I must be the odd one. I prefer the bingo type scratchers because of the play value and now that you can check with your phone in case you missed something, it's great.

I like to draw out the suspense if I won or not lol

I like it too and would love if they add a $10 and $20 as well. Much better than instants. No worry about the chase factor either. I will certainly lead towards these for my fix.

I love the fast play games. almost every other ticket is a winner. even more than face value. I had these wins 2 @ $40 1 @ $100

and multiple $20 , 10 and $5 winners. I bought about 20 so far

Def a game I'll play every day.

Congratulations on your win!

I got the no-scratch scratch part, but my question is about the game mechanics. When a traditional scratcher is printed, there is some kind of win distribution that goes into the print for the current run. When the tickets are printed that's it. But with these print scratchers the terminal/server must decide at random which ticket gets the major prize while the print run itself is open ended (in theory).

I hit $50 on the $2 one today. It basically prints a scratch off ticket without anything to scratch off. It has the images and everything right from the terminal. I agree with DR that there are way too many current scratch offs in PA. they need to end some games and cut back to a handful of each denomination.

So this plays like a scratcher without the need t scratch and without the need for complicated distribution or shipping or game end schedules.

It's great that it more or less eliminates tampering, as pinning for example isn't possible.

The downside to this is that people can't buy a whole game book/roll as it's random.

What I don't get though is HOW the winning combo is made. Instead of an RNG drawing numbers the terminal/server just randomly prints symbols and you hope to win... [ More ]

This is such a great step, I'm glad they have finally done it.

I've been saying state lotteries need a game like this for years. Some scratch games have gotten way off the rails with lengthy, complicated steps needed to see if you're a winner. When the states added scanners (both in the store and now in mobile apps), players started scratching just the scan codes and checking if they had a winner. I'll try it, new games usually stack winners in the first few days...an increase in winning tickets to lead players to believe it's

the best game. We have tons of instant ticket choices now. I wish they would have done a sum it up type add on. I wonder if

the choices will change each month or if higher denominations will be added soon. Personally, I think they have too, too many

games going right now.

The Pennsylvania Lottery today launched Fast Play, a new type of games offering players the chance to win prizes without scratching the ticket or waiting for a drawing.

Fast Play launch is a milestone in the evolution of the Pennsylvania Lottery, said Executive Director Drew Svitko, noting that this is the Lottery's first entirely new game category introduced since scratch-off tickets premiered in 1975. The first draw game went on sale in March of 1972.
