I have done that before, but not to that degree of winning. If you don't know you are better off. Some people have killed themselves for less.

Of all the games NY has to offer that's the one that I would want to win because it's the hardest. Shame. Once on my birthday which happened on a Saturday, I wished to win the Lotto and then blew out the candle. Went to the gas station bought a ticket and the next day I won $1. Lol, my wish came true I guess. Next time I think I'll be a little more specific. Lol. Too bad. That's a nice jackpot to claim your name on.

l would rather be on the hook for fed,state local taxes with millions of $$ leftover to myself, than being on the hook for taxes with Nothing left over. It's not what you make, it's what's you keep after the dust has settled. If someone does step forward at the last minute to claim this,Trump would call it showboating. Showboating with millions of dollars, regardless.

Closer to the low 8s after you factor in the additional federal taxes and NYC taxes. So, they are on the hook for fed, state, and city taxes. Still, I wouldnt kick 8 Mil out of bed.

My stomach is churning a little bit after reading this news. 24 million! Even after NY taxes that's still what... 10-11 million USD? That is life changing money right there. For the sake of the poor sap who won, I hope they NEVER find out that they let that type of windfall fall through their hands.

I sure hope that the Ticket holder comes forward before the expiration date.

Possibly, may have thrown the ticket away a long time ago.

The date of the drawing is also in the winning numbers=5-25...Were these own picks or Quick Pick

There could be a millionaire walking around Manhattan who doesn't even know it, but they're going to lose it all very soon if they don't figure it out within the next week.

A $24 million lottery ticket from the May 25, 2016, drawing remains unclaimed and will be worthless after next Thursday unless it is turned in.

The winning ticket was purchased at Renu Corp Grocery Tobacco located at 158 Church Street in Tribeca.
